We're SkyLyne!

Established in March of 2022, SkyLyne was started with the mission to elevate poverty in India, by educating the underprivileged sections of society. Education is the first step to help in eradicating poverty, and it is a widely ignored fact that though education has been made available to all, the resources to properly gain one are not affordable or accessible to all. Skylyne aims to help out by working with different organisations and addressing the problem at its root by providing education to slum children themselves. They will also provide financial literacy to children in high school as it is a highly required skill but is rarely taught.

Inspired by seeing a father struggle to take his 3 children to school on a scooter, our founders Ishita and Srishti started working on the organisation in November '21, and found it a hard and lengthy process to start off. Establishing the core council took some time due to finding, shortlisting and interviewing the right candidates. But upon its completion, finding volunteers became somewhat easier, and now we've even managed to go international!
